Great gardens of Suzhou. Built 1342 AD-Yuan Dynasty – by group of monks. Named lion grove garden. Site contains various classical architectural pavilions terraces, towers, halls ,waterside ponds and covered walkways.

The people’s government of Suzhou renovated the garden then opened it to public in 1953. In 2000 garden was listed by UNESCO in the world heritage registrar. Also listed as major cultural relic under state protection in 2006.
